Authenticity is a video podcast platform that was created by the CreatHER, Nette back in 2018. The purpose of our brand is to engage in Authentic Dialogue while celebrating black culture.  On our platform we’ve had the chance to discuss a variety of different topics, curate live podcast events to entertain and engage with our supporters along with showcasing some talented artists and poets.

“What made you start Authenticity”?

As the CreatHER of Authenticity, I was heavily influenced by BET’s 106 & Park. I absolutely loved tuning into 106 & Park everyday after school and seeing the music video countdown. It was refreshing to have a show on television that celebrated black culture. Along with 106 & Park, 90’s black sitcoms like Living Single and Martin also played a major role in inspiring me to curate content that is relatable and authentic but also showcases a positive side of black culture while tackling controversial topics.
